Patients are able to see a digital preview of their new smile before the aligners are created.      2. Aligners Preparation   The custom treatment plan is sent to a digital dental lab. The patient’s dental arches are examined to ensure proper fit.  The sequence of aligners is staged based on the doctor’s instructions. Then, the digital plan is placed online for the doctor to review and approve.  Once approved, the aligners are fabricated.  The clear aligners are sent directly to the doctor and then delivered to the patient.       3. Image
DO’S DO find the crown right away. If you swallow it, call a medical doctor immediately. There is a chance it went down the wrong pipe. A chest x-ray is typically indicated to ensure the crown is in your digestive tract, not your windpipe. DO keep your crown if you find it. There’s a chance it can be recemented into your mouth. However, if it fell out due to substantial dental decay or if the tooth was broken off inside the crown, a new crown may be required. DO keep your crown clean. It may not be in your mouth anymore, but try to keep it clean and in a safe spot until your dentist can examine your crown and determine if it can be used again. DO use ibuprofen and/or clove oil to ease any pain that may occur. DO care for your crown the way you would any other tooth.   DON'TS  DON’T use glue as temporary cement. Please, don’t do it! It is dangerous, and it may ruin the remaining tooth structure underneath the crown. DON’T wait to call your dentist. He or she will want you ...

Clear aligners are an alternative to traditional braces and are designed to help guide teeth into their proper position.  Aligners are designed to make small movements at a time, by putting gentle pressure on your teeth. That pressure is transferred through your roots to your jaws. Your jaw bone responds to forces by essentially moving the sockets, and your teeth go along for the ride.  Aligners are made of a strong plastic material and are fabricated to fit each individual's mouth.  A series of aligners are needed, each aligner set moves the teeth in increments until the desired movement is achieved. They are worn for at least 20-22 hours a day to reach the desired maximum effectiveness. Each aligner set is worn for three weeks before changing to the next one.  The length of treatment with aligners depends upon the severity of each case.       Since aligners are not attached to the teeth, we need little pressure points called ‘attachments’. 1. Clear Aligners Are Not For Everyone: Aligners can treat mild to moderate and a few severe cases. Before assuming clear aligner as your treatment option, you must consult an orthodontist who can judge your case better and tell you whether you qualify for aligner treatment or not. No Age Limit: Teens and adults are preferring Clear aligners over other available treatment options. We have also seen results in patients from the 50-60 age group who have been using Clear aligners.  You Have To Take Them Out Before You Eat: Because the suggested wear time is 22 hours/day, it leaves only two hours to play with, you will want to eat during the time in which the aligners are out of your mouth. Make sure that you do not eat with them in!  Treatment Will Likely Take Longer Than Expected: Orthodontists recommend wearing each aligner for 14 days to allow them to work properly. This duration has come from different studies and research. Aligners can gradually move your teeth within 2-3 ...
